Seth McFarlane just signed a deal with NBC for $200 million dollars for five years; ending his tenure at Fox. He will continue his work with Family Guy, American Dad and Orville but will now be creating new projects for NBC. Fox apparently made a good effort to keep Seth but was simply out bid.
Disney Television Studios Chairman Dana Walden told Deadline.com “He is a brilliant artist and a great friend; and, there is no one we root for more than him. As a fan, I look forward to whatever he creates next, and as his studio partner on Family Guy, American Dad and The Orville, I feel lucky to be continuing an extraordinary partnership.”
No news yet on what Seth’s new project will look like but my prediction is some new animated shows. NBC is lacking in this field and are attempting to grab that demographic.
