Pokemon Day!

Today is the 24th Birthday for the Pokemon Franchise with the Japanese release of Pokemon Green on February 27th, 1996. Everyone is getting into the spirit with huge updates and events.

Pokemon Sword and Shield has a new legendary Pokemon called Zarude. This is described as a Rogue Monkey Pokemon that is Dark/Grass type. It’s flavor text states that it “can grow vines from the back of its neck, its wrists, and the soles of its feet at will. The vines also have a healing property. If the vines are wrapped around a wound, it will heal.” Apparently Zarude can be found in dense forests of the Galar region. Below is the video showing off the new Legendary.

There is also a Mewtwo raid in Sword and Shield to celebrate Pokemon Day and the US release of Mewtwo Strikes Back. He is level 100 and available till March 1st.
