Blizzard has officially canceled this year’s Blizzcon due to COVID-19 concerns. This event is normally held every November and gathers fans in Anaheim, California to celebrate the company’s games, await new announcements, and cheer on their favorite eSports players. The crowd is from 40-50 thousand and are often tightly gathered. It is sad to see the convention canceled but it is better to play it safe. Blizzard will hold an online event in early 2021, presumably to give more details on Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4. Blizzard will also be making announcements on June 5th as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming.
Personally, this is our favorite convention every year. This is our chance to hang out with friends we have met through the Blizzard community. We will miss the Blizzard family and hope they stay safe. See you next year! #ForTheHorde
