Paramount and Saga both announced that Director Jeff Fowler and Writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller will be returning for the Sonic the Hedgehog sequel. Fowler was accredited for taking the initiative to change the design on Sonic after the fan outcry.
“Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be.” -Jeff Fowler
The fans showed their appreciation by filling the theaters and making Sonic $306 million worldwide. Outside of Sonic, Casey and Miller worked on a series of National Lampoon and low budget movies. They showed they can expand passed their filmography with Sonic’s “fun for the whole family” story.
No word on the cast’s return but they all appeared to be excited about the franchise in Sonic 1 interviews.
