The YouTube series Cobra Kai will be leaving for a new streaming service home. Cobra Kai is one of a few last reminiscents of YouTube’s attempt at a scripted series platform called YouTube Red (now called YouTube Originals). In April 2019, they ordered a third season but since moved back to their roots of creator based content.
Cobra Kai is a sequel series to the 80’s classic franchise Karate Kid. Production Company Sony Pictures Television is now looking for a new streaming service like Hulu or Netflix. At a new home, the series could see a surge of funding with a platform already familiar with the business. As for now, you can still watch the first two seasons on YouTube.
