Kingdoms of Amalur is Getting Remastered

The cult classic RPG  Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is getting the remake treatment and coming out on August 18th from THQ. This game boasted hundreds of hours of gameplay with deep storytelling and a massive living world. When it was released in 2012, it was mostly unseen. After the disappointing release, the developers went out of business. But the quality game started to be discussed amongst the hardcore gamers. It became THE suggestion for your friends with discount and used copies being picked up at local Gamestops.

The game had a top tier team. Story by The Dark Elf trilogy writer R.A. Salvatore. The lead designer was Ken Rolston who originally designed The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. And completing the creator trio was Spawn’s, Todd McFarlane.

The remake was first leaked by an early posting on the Microsoft Store. This could be a hint at exclusivity and possibly a future Xbox stable franchise.
