Micheal Keaton is in talks to portray Batman once again in the upcoming Flash film. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Keaton maybe returning for several additional DC films.
Keaton’s ’89 Batman was the return of Batman to the big screen and a reimagining of the character after the fading of Adam West’s portrayal and the decline of comics in the mainstream spotlight. This Batman lead to at least two decades of superheroes being blockbusters. Keaton has always been Batman to many, with only Beetlejuice competing for his identity. In recent years Micheal Keaton has had a resurgence following Birdman and his portrayal of Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. If he joins Flash, it will be from another Earth as part of their Flashpoint film.
Surprisingly, Ezra Miller is still attached to the project. After footage of him choking a woman and throwing her to the ground, many thought he was done. Including us. You can read more about this here. Hopefully, he and WB will have some statement addressing their choice to continue.
