Rocket League is Going Free-to-Play

Psyonix’s Rocket League will soon be free-to-play and moving from Steam to the Epic Games Store with the next patch. Rocket League is a fast-paced soccer game with wacky cars as the players. Much like Fortnite, Rocket League favors bright colors and fun environment over realism.

The game will be free-to-play for Playstation users and PC gamers. As for PC, the game is being removed from Steam and moved to the Epic Games Store. This comes after Epic Games purchased Psyonix in 2019. If you already bought the game through Steam, you will still receive full support and updates.

All players who already purchased the game will receive Legacy Status. This includes all pre-free-to-play DLCs, 200 items that will become unobtainable, and a title with the year you started playing.
