Netflix has ordered an 8-episode run of a live-action Resident Evil series. Andrew Dabb, co-showrunner of Supernatural, will be running and writing the series.

For every type of Resident Evil fan, including those joining us for the first time, the series will be complete with a lot of old friends, and some things (bloodthirsty, insane things) people have never seen before.”

Resident Evil will follow the lives of 14-year old sisters new to Racoon City before the outbreak. It will also tell the story of Racoon City a decade after the outbreak were the remains of humanity fight to survive.
