The comics industry has been hit hard by the pandemic. This comes after they were already struggling due to the evolution of digital comics. You can now help the industry beyond your Wednesday pull list. Two charity auctions will be held by the new Give Comics Hope Foundation to raise money for every aspect of the industry from the local shop to the publishers. Auctions will take place on October 28th and November 11th. The first auction will be items priced at $500 or more and the second for those $499 and under. Creators can donate to the cause and many already have including a Walking Dead cover art piece donated by Robert Kirkman. They will be partnering with the Book Industry Charitable Foundation to oversee the distribution of funds.
Before each auction we will be highlighting some of the items available. If you want to learn more or see how you can help, check out the Give Comics Hope site here.
