Bethesda joins Xbox with Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media. Bethesda is a massive studio of 2,300 people and a library of award-winning franchises like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, and more. Along with Bethesda, Xbox now has Akrane, MachineGames, id Software, and a slew of other developers known for their quality games.
The acquisition is important in the console race as Xbox’s biggest flaw is its lack of exclusives. Games like Halo, Sea of Thieves, and Forza are their most notable but they struggle against the PlayStation’s blockbusters. With the Bethesda’s library becoming exclusive to Xbox it will certainly boost Xbox sales, especially when the next Elder Scrolls releases. Another perk is all the new games coming to the Game Pass. Today is an excellent day for Xbox fans!
