Suicide Squad Spin-off Coming to HBO Max

The upcoming “The Suicide Squad” by James Gunn is added many new characters to the rosters from the deepest corners of DC Comics. One of these resurfaced “heroes” is John Cena’s Peacemaker, a diplomat willing to use force to keep the peace. In an interview clip with Cena, we learn that this Peacemaker will likely be overly aggressive and arrogant. A series based on this character could have Peacemaker hopping from country to country as he fights dictators and warlords but leaving casualties in his wake. A man stuck between doing the right thing and being hunted by the US for his destruction.

The series will be coming to HBO Max, like so many other DC series. John Cena will be returning for the rile and joined by producers James Gunn (The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Peter Safran (Shazam, Aquaman).
