Supergirl is coming to an end with its upcoming sixth season. Melissa Benoist took to Instagram to announce the end and express her gratitude in being able to play Supergirl. This is just the latest in a recent surge of “Arrowverse” changes. Arrow finished it’s run last year, Batwoman is changing its lead actor, and Superman is getting his own show.
They have not stated if the show is canceled or naturally finishing but Supergirl has always struggled compared to its Arrow and Flash counterparts and with Superman coming forward, the series would be overshadowed. Supergirl was fun and a bright point for weekly viewers. The show may not have demanded massive numbers but those who did watch were avid fans and will miss this wonderful series.
