Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Production will be rebooting 2002s, Scorpion King. They are teaming up with Universal Studios for this project. Jonathan Herman will be handling the new script. He most notable did Straight Outta Compton. Due to Johnson’s full schedule, they will be casting the lead role. The original film was The Rock’s theatric debut, and he wants to make sure the reboot is in good hands.
We don’t know yet how closely the new film will follow the old film. Presumably, the reboot will still follow the brave warrior protecting his people from evil in the ancient Egyptian desert. Fans of the Mummy and Scorpion King will definitely return while newcomers will enjoy a new blockbuster.
