Police at the Ubisoft Montreal Offices

The police have been called to the Peck Building in Montreal, Canada. This is the HQ for Ubisoft Montreal. The situation has police taking a defensive position behind their cars at the intersection of Saint Laurent and St Viateur. Helicopter footage shows some Ubisoft employees on the roof of the building. According to Journal de Montreal, employees are also barricading themselves in their offices.

*Update*

Police say they are responding to a 911 call. They are inspecting the site now. No injuries reported.

Montreal Police have released a statement: “Officers have been sent to the location following a 911 call. Specialized #SPVM officers are on site inspecting the premises. There are no injuries reported.”

It is unclear at this time if reports of a hostage situation are true.
