CW revealed today that they will be passing on the “Geen Arrow and the Canaries” series. This was meant to be a spin-off to the Arrow series and had a “soft” pilot in the last season of Arrow. It would have followed Oliver Queen’s daughter, Black Canary, and Siren as a Birds of Prey-like hero team. With this show being canceled, it is the end of the Arrow wing of the Arrowverse.
CW is using its properties well by developing a new array of DC projects. They recently tapped producer Greg Berlanti to develop a Black Lightning spin-off called Painkiller. Superman and Lois premiere on February 23rd. And we have a new Batwoman dawning the cowl with Javicia Leslie. The Arrowverse is changing quickly but DC and Warner have faith in the CW, we should too.
