A Harry Potter live-action series is in the works! Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that WarnerMedia executives are in the process of finding writers and workshopping ideas. The series would be an HBO Max exclusive. The show is in very early production and won’t be seen for a few years.
WarnerMedia and HBO Max made a statement to THR that they are not working on a series right now. This is typical for this stage of development. Warner will also have to extend their 7-year deal with NBC Universe, giving them Domestic TV Distribution.
