Constantine is getting a new live-action series coming to HBO Max. Warner will be casting a new “non-white” actor for the role. The previous actors to play Constantine are Keanu Reeves in the 2005 film and Matt Ryan in the CW series.
JJ Abrams will be producing the new project and plans to cross it over with his Justice League Dark series; currently in development. This could also tie in with other DC shows in the works for HBO including Peacemaker and the Gotham police series. Guy Bolton will be writing with David Mackenzie set to direct. Bolton is also writing the upcoming ‘Hell of High Water.’
