Microsoft is now forcing South Korean players to use Xbox live accounts. Xbox is doing this as part of their migration from Mojang accounts. Xbox Live accounts are restricted to 19 years old and up. The restriction stems from the 2011 “Cinderella Law” prohibiting kids and adults from playing together.
Players were allowed to use their Mojang accounts as a way around the age restriction until recently. South Korean players have taken to up a petition. They are asking their president to remove the law, which makes Korea the only nation to restrict Minecraft. So far, they have 15,000 signatures.
