Xbox at Gamescom 2021: Trailers and Announcements

Gamescom is off and running! First up, Xbox! Here is everything Microsoft brought to the show:

Humble Joins Game Pass

The indie icon from San Francisco, Humble Games, is joining Game Pass. A slate of new games like Archdale, Next Space Rebels, and Midnight Fight Express. I’m excited to get my hands on Flynn: Son of Crimson. These titles will fit in nicely with Game Pass’ impressive library.

xCloud is Here!

xCloud is finally integrated into the consoles for Game Pass. xCloud will allow you to stream the games directly to the system without downloading. Xbox One players can play Series X games this way as well. An excellent perk due to the console shortage. Games will stream at 60 fps and 1080p, making it feel like a game already on your system. You can start playing with xCloud this holiday.

Dying Light 2

We got a closer look at the apocalyptic Dying Light 2. Developer Techland says they have stepped up the parkour, adding twice as many moves to get you around the city. Survive the zombies…and the other survivors starting December 7th.

Stray Blade

A new title was revealed from 505 Games! Stay Blade is an action RPG that has you balancing blades and magic in a world of enemies. I’m hyped for this new franchise to join the Xbox family.

Trebuchets Coming to Age of Empires IV

With Age of Empires IV on the horizon, we got a look at another part of the game, Trebuchets. The trailer breaks down the history and science of these ancient weapons. AoE fans can start their sieges on October 28th!

Crusader Kings on Consoles

The wait is nearly over. Crusader Kings 3 will soon be on Xbox Series X/S. Build your lineage and empire in 4k! And it’s all part of Game Pass!

Flight Simulator Upgrades

Flight Simulator is getting some fun upgrades. They are revamping some European maps, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. They are also introducing historical planes. Possibly the reason I’ll be coming back. And as shown in the teaser, they will introduce more Sky Taxis.

New Rides for Forza Horizon 5

Of course, you will be cruising around in awesome cars in the next Forza, but today we got to see which ones. Two highlights are the Mercedes AMG One and the all-new Ford Bronco Badlands. I can’t wait to take that Bronco to the trails! PS: Can I get that plane to drop off one of these cars for me?

SpellForce 3 Reforced

SpellForce 3 is coming to both Xbox One and Series X/S!

Neverwinter: Jewel of the North

The next chapter of Neverwinter is here. Jewel of the North has us exploring an unknown lair to fight countless enemy. The new Bard class will be useful on this dangerous adventure.

State of Decay

We are returning to Trumbull Valley in State of Decay 2: Homecoming. Family faces, friends and foes. Get back into action on September 1st!

King’s Bounty 2

King’s Bounty 2 is a turn-based tactical role-playing game from 1C Entertainment. I’m new to this world but will be checking it out after this trailer. Also, awesome music choice.

Embr

Fun with Friends! Embr is a 4-player chaotic firefighting game. Looks like you’ll need to get the whole team on Game Pass.

The Gunk

The Gunk is a beautiful game with an ugly problem, too much Gunk. Explore this colorful planet and remove the destructive gunk eating away at the environment.

New Ship Skin!

Sea of Thieves is getting a new skin… and it FREE! The Mayhem skin is inspired by Borderlands’ The Vaults of Pandora. I’ll see you on the seas!

Wasteland 3: Cult of the Holy Detonation

A dangerous cult with an explosive deity needs to be taken care of. You and your team will face new foes and traps in Wasteland’s next DLC.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

All hail the Queen! Destiny 2’s next content patch brings in the Witch Queen. She and her army watches you. Be prepared. Releasing next February.
