According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, actor Henry Cavill will star in and executive produce a television adaptation of the popular tabletop strategy game “Warhammer 40,000” for Amazon. The show is said to be a sci-fi drama set in the far future, where humanity is locked in a desperate war against alien forces. Cavill, best known for his roles in “The Witcher” series and as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, will play the lead role in the series. The show is being produced by Big Light Productions, with Cavill serving as an executive producer alongside Big Light’s CEO, Jane Featherstone. There is no word yet on a release date for the series.
