MoviePass is relaunching its movie subscription service with four new pricing tiers: Basic ($10/month), Standard ($20/month), Premium ($30/month), and Pro ($40/month). The new system is based on credits and limits how many movies users can see monthly, depending on their plan. Basic subscribers can watch one to three movies per month with their allowance of credits, while Pro subscribers will be able to watch up to one movie every day. The new system also includes the ability for users to pay for any guests coming with them and watch advertisements to earn extra credits. However, subscribers cannot pay for tickets ahead of time and need to use their physical or digital cards on location to claim their seats. The beta for the new version of MoviePass is expected to finish in the summer of 2023, but the app’s full return has no official release date yet.
