A live-action series based on Spider-Man Noir is being produced by Amazon and will follow the dark, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York. It is set in its own universe, not following Peter Parker as the main character, and will be developed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the producers of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Orien Uziel, who will write and executive produce. This is part of Sony’s plan to expand its Spider-Man universe and move into live-action television, after striking a deal with Amazon last year to develop multiple shows based on characters from Spider-Man’s universe. Spider-Man Noir is a brutal and lethal version of Spider-Man who operates in a Great Depression-era New York. He has appeared in several Spider-Man media, including video games, TV shows, and movies.
