Amazon Games’ New World is preparing to make a big change. The popular MMORPG is moving to a seasonal model and introducing a free and premium Season Pass to enhance the gameplay experience.
The transition will start on March 28, and players can expect new content drops, features, and gameplay experiences with each new season. Seasons will last for three months, and each one will bring unique additions to New World.

The Season Pass will work similarly to other popular games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone. Players will earn rewards by completing specific in-game tasks and gain levels. There is a free version of the pass, and players can upgrade to the premium track for more significant rewards. Upgrading to the premium version will grant players more rewards per level, including Marks of Fortune, Boost Tokens, and cosmetics. The premium track can be purchased using New World’s in-game credits, and it will cost 20,000 Marks of Fortune or $19.99.

Amazon Games has made it clear that the premium content can be earned through normal gameplay, so it’s not a pay-to-win feature. This move to a seasonal model will provide New World players with more options and ways to engage with the game.
As for Season 1, it’s called Fellowship and Fire, and it will include new story content, a new Expedition, a new Heartgem Ability called Fire Storm, the addition of Gear Set Storage, and a new server region. The story will focus on The Silver Crows, an elite group of mercenaries tasked with helping Skye the Speardaughter confront a powerful warlock and the Varangian horde. The Expedition, called the Empyrean Forge, will be a new Level 60+ mission set in the Great Cleave.
In summary, Amazon Games’ New World is switching to a seasonal model that will provide more content drops and gameplay experiences with each season. The game will also introduce a free and premium Season Pass to enhance the gameplay experience. With the game’s unique additions, it promises to be an exciting time for fans of New World.
