Pokemon World Championship
The dates for the upcoming Pokémon World Championship in Yokohama, Japan were announced during a special event held by The Pokémon Company. The championship, which will run from August 11 to 23, 2023, will feature competitions in various Pokémon games including the trading card game, Scarlet and Violet, and Pokémon GO. The event’s key art, drawn in a traditional Japanese style, features the starter Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet alongside Pikachu.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic
A new version of the original Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Base Set called the Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic has been announced, but its exact nature is still unclear. It appears to be a one-time purchase of classic Pokémon card decks with a game board and pieces included. The set is being described as a premium product that will last a lifetime, but The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has asked for patience while more information is released.

Pokémon Concierge
The Pokémon Company and Netflix have partnered to create a stop-motion animation series called Pokémon Concierge. The show will feature Haru, the concierge of the Pokémon Resort, and her Pokémon partner, Psyduck, in an original story that appears to be light-hearted and bright. Details about the series are currently limited.

Pokémon Sleep
During the event, Pokémon Sleep was officially announced to be released in summer 2023. The app will track sleeping patterns and feature different sleep styles of various Pokémon. The goal is to turn sleeping into entertainment by incorporating gameplay that is influenced by when players wake up. This will allow players to wake up with Pokémon every morning.
