Hogwarts Legacy, the game set in the Harry Potter universe, has sold over 15 million copies and made more than $1 billion in retail sales, according to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. The game is WB’s fifth $1 billion-plus gaming franchise. Its sales are expected to increase significantly with the release of the game on previous-generation platforms and the Nintendo Switch in July. Despite the controversy surrounding author J.K. Rowling, the game remains the highest seller of the year so far and is expected to be the year’s biggest game.
