On May 23, HBO Max will undergo a rebranding and become Max, offering more than twice the amount of programming. The new Max will feature 35,000 hours of content, including hundreds of episodes from Discovery+ shows and a lineup of new TV shows and movies in the coming month. Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company, plans to continuously update the service with fresh content, averaging more than 40 new movie titles and TV seasons every month.
Max will remain the streaming home for HBO originals, Warner Bros. films, Max originals, the DC universe, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network. It will also add shows from popular networks such as HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID, and Magnolia Network. The launch of Max on May 23 will introduce original series like “SmartLess: On the Road,” “How to Create a Sex Scandal,” “What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel,” “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai,” and more.
Existing content on Max includes beloved HBO series like “Game of Thrones,” “The Sopranos,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Sex and the City.” The platform also offers full seasons of shows such as “Friends,” “South Park,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and Adult Swim titles like “Rick and Morty” and “Robot Chicken.” Additionally, Max will feature a wide range of Discovery content, classic films, and kids’ shows, including the exclusive streaming home of Studio Ghibli in the U.S.
With its expanded library and diverse range of content, Max aims to provide a comprehensive streaming experience for subscribers.
