Bad Batch Will Return With Third and Final Season

Fans of the Star Wars animated show, The Bad Batch, can rejoice at the news that the show has been officially renewed for a third season. However, it has also been confirmed that this upcoming season will be the show’s last. The announcement was made during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in London, where a sneak peek of the third season was also shown. The show’s writer, Jennifer Corbett, stated that the story is not yet over and promised that the third season will be just as exciting as the previous two.

The Bad Batch follows Clone Force 99, a group of defective Clone Troopers who failed to turn against the Jedi during Order 66. As a result, they became fugitives from the Empire and took on mercenary missions while evading their Imperial creators. The second season ended with a lot of ups and downs, including the apparent sacrifice of Tech and the rescue of Crosshair. Fans are left wondering whether Tech will make a comeback, but regardless, Omega will have to step up and take charge in the absence of her father figure.

Despite the news that the third season will be the last, fans are excited to see what the show has in store. IGN’s Bad Batch Season 2 review gave the show an 8/10, praising its animation and production quality. While some may find the mission-to-mission arcs a little repetitive, the show’s ability to illuminate the era in which the story takes place is what makes it stand out. Fans can also look forward to the potential appearance of Fennec Shand from The Mandalorian. With plenty of action, drama, and excitement on the horizon, the third and final season of The Bad Batch is sure to be a hit among Star Wars fans.
