This week we got a big update to Minecraft and the Nether received three new biomes.

The first new Nether biome is the Crimson Forest. There is crimson nylium all over the floor with new vegetation. The ‘trees’ are huge crimson fungi that emit light. Weeping Vines grow from the cave walls and ceiling. There is a new creature called a Hoglin that mimics a boar with tusks and a ridge of black hair. This was named after a twitter poll.

The next Nether biome is the Soulsand Valley that is focused on Soul Sand and Soul Soil. There are Basalt pillars the rise from floor to ceiling you will find many partial fossils on the floor. This area is lit with a light blue glow. And there are many skeletons roaming.

The last new Nether biome is the Warped Forest. Much like the Crimson Forest, there is nylium on the floor with new vegetation. The shroom ‘trees’ are warped and misshaped. There is a dark blue fog covering the forest. Warped spores float through the air. Their is now the least hostile place in the Nether.
Other changes include:
-Two new wood blocks from the new biomes called Crimson and Warped Stems. And other new blocks from the biomes.
-A new light source from the Shroomlights
-Ocean ruins are now less common
-New Material called Netherite. Netherite is stronger than diamond and is mined from Ancient Debris in the Nether. Smelted into Netherite Scrap. then combined with Gold to make a Netherite Ingot.
